He initially started as a forward, before being switched to defense at the age of 10.
He fought his brother in a Western Hockey League game (2003).
He was considered too short to play in the NHL by junior hockey pundits.
He struggled to find his footing in St. Louis, despite his familiarity with Ken Hitchcock, who coached him in Columbus.
His tenure with the Stars was only 23 games (11 regular season and 12 playoff games combined).

He was teammates with his twin brother Ryan in Columbus.
