Why he might be annoying:

He was allegedly one of the players paid at Southern Methodist University, which led to the ‘death sentence’ for the football program.
He was involved in several contract disputes throughout his career, always asking for more money.
After bragging that nobody could stop their offense, the Redskins demolished the Rams, 51-7 (January 1, 1984). He was held to 16 yards in that game.
As an ex-sprinter, he bragged that he couldn’t be caught from behind, but was humiliated when Darrell Green did it.
He had a horrible jherri curl and wore sport goggles in the 80’s.
He was a terrible sideline reporter on Monday Night Football, and was let go after one year (2000).

Why he might not be annoying:

He still holds several notable records, including rushing yards gained in a single season (2,105 in 1984), and rushing yards gained in a playoff game (248 vs. Dallas Cowboys, January 4, 1986).
He holds rookie records for most rushing yards gained (1,808) most rushing attempts (390) and most touchdowns rushing (18, all in 1983).
He was only the seventh running back to gain more than 10,000 yards and the fastest ever to do so (91 games).
At the time of his retirement, he was the second all-time rusher behind only Walter Payton.
