    In his early swimming career, he went by the pseudonym 'Scott Flowers.'
    He is overshadowed by Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps.
    During the London Summer Olympics, he made headlines for criticizing Phelps regarding his work ethnic.
    In his first event, the 400-meter individual medley, Clary missed out on a spot on the 400-meter individual medley by finishing third behind Phelps and Lochte.
    He's another one of those people known by a middle name.

    The following day, he broke Lochte's NCAA record in the 200-yard backstroke.
