Why she might be annoying:

She was a young hottie who let herself get as fat as a whale.
In later photos, she hides behind Peter and Paul to conceal her massive size.
Her weight inspired one writer to create a song parody called ‘Where Have All the Donuts Gone?’
Unlike Peter and Paul, she didn’t write her own songs.
Her voice has been described as ‘muddy and dull.’
One critic said she ‘looks like she’s taking a dump’ when she sings.
She was rambling and pretentious in interviews.
She’s been married three times.

Why she might not be annoying:

Peter, Paul & Mary sang at many important civil-rights marches and demonstrations.
The trio are folk-music icons.
She had the strongest singing voice in the group.
She said she opposes war, but supports American soldiers.
She used to baby-sit for Christopher Guest.
She was diagnosed with leukemia (2004). It was the cause of her death, five years later (September 16, 2009).
She had to have a bone-marrow transplant when chemotherapy failed (April 2005).
