The Resume

He was fired by the Brewers following a slow start to the 1982 season; months later, the team made their first World Series appearance under his replacement, Harvey Kuenn.
He didn't hold back about his grudge towards the Brewers in regards to his firing, going as far as saying the players revolted against his managerial style.
His tenure in Montreal ended as a result of a disagreement with the team's ownership group.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the inaugural Angels roster (1961).
