    He dropped out of school at the age of 11 to join his family picking vegetables.
    He fathered two children out of wedlock.
    He was suspended for 75 games after he attacked his girlfriend in a domestic dispute (June 22, 2018).
    His domestic violence charges played a major factor in his trade from the Blue Jays.
    He missed the majority of the 2020 season as a result of an elbow injury, and was outright released at the end of the season.

    He defied the long odds and made the Blue Jays Opening Day roster (2015).
    He was the youngest player ever to play a game for the Blue Jays when he made the roster at 20 years of age.
    He is the youngest pitcher in major league history to record 50+ saves in a season.
    He recorded the five-out save in Game 5 of the Blue Jays divisional series to eliminate the Texas Rangers in the 2015 American League Divisional Series (The bat-flip game).
    Prior to his suspension, he became the youngest pitcher in major league history to record 100 career saves.
