    He broke his leg in an accident, while testing out one of his prototype cars.
    He described the competition in the Formula Atlantic circuit to be amateurish.
    He came out of retirement twice, before retiring for good in 1986.
    His final retirement came as a result of his sponsor's financial difficulties.
    He has five children from three different women.
    He fathered a set of twins at the age of 55.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the son of Australian racing legend Stan Jones.
    As of 2021, he is the last Australian-born driver to win the Australian Grand Prix.
    He is the first Formula One champion to win as a member of the Williams team.
    He recorded 12 wins and 24 podium finishes during his racing career.
