Why Ottawa Capitals might be annoying:

    They were defeated by 15-2 by the Montreal Victorias in their Stanley Cup challenge game.
    They opted to forfeit the challenge series after this defeat.
    They were embroiled in a scandal, after it was revealed they were paying their athletes, which was frowned upon by amateur athletic associations.
    Many of their athletes were banned as a result of the scandal.
    They were denied from joining the senior ranks of the Canadian Amateur Hockey League on three occasions.

Why Ottawa Capitals might not be annoying:

    They were the first team in hockey circles to use the Capitals moniker (although it became popularly associated with their American counterparts.
    They were the second team from Ottawa to challenge for the Stanley Cup.
    They won the CCHA Championship, which granted them the opportunity to play the Montreal Victorias for the Stanley Cup.
    They were charter members of the short lived Federal Amateur Hockey League.
