TV Reality Show Contestant

The Resume

    (July 29, 1987-January 11, 2022)
    Born in Batavia, Illinois
    Attended the University of Illinois
Former project manager for property developer Lendlease
Contestant on Season 11 of The Bachelorette (Kaitlyn Bristowe's Season)
Eliminated in the third week (2015)

Why he might be annoying:

He was a reality show villain (his slogan was 'villains gotta vill').
He sparked controversy with his close friendship with fellow contestant JJ Lane (both producers and viewers fueled rumors that there was a budding romance between them).
He broke it off with JJ in a heated confrontation after the two were sent home by Kaitlyn, calling Lane a 'piece of shit' amid other censored words (before oddly closing with, 'Hey, that tie goes really well with that shirt!').
He reacted to a suggestive promo for the show, in which he appeared to confess his love for JJ, by tweeting: 'Whoops. Sorry, dad?' adding the hashtag #brokebackbachelor and a picture of Heath Ledger (referencing the Ledger film depicting a gay encounter between two cowboys).
His tweet prompted outrage from the LGBT community, with many accusing him of trying to make fun of homosexuality.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a champion wrestler at his high school and later the University of Illinois.
His 'bromance' with JJ Lane was deceptively edited by Bachelor producers to appear like a gay relationship.
Kaitlyn Bristowe led a litany of Bachelor Nation alum tributes, with an emotional Instagram story tribute.
His retired from the public eye after his stint on the Bachelorette, deleting all of his social media accounts.
Despite his reputation as a reality TV villain, former Bachelor Nick Viall remembered him as ' a very kind, unique, and talented person.'
