He named his daughter, Rainbow.
Rainbow was born out of wedlock.
He is deeply religious.
Many people felt his presenting of his Golden Globe to Jack Lemmon, was a publicity stunt.

Why he might not be annoying:

When he won the Golden Globe, he felt the award should go to Jack Lemmon, so he called him on stage and gave him the award.
The Golden Globes later presented him with a second award to keep for himself (1998).
He graduated Juilliard.
Despite being a very large and powerful man, he is extremely sensitive (and is known as a Teddy Bear).
He grew up surrounded by all sorts of easy money criminal activity but resisted all temptations.
