The Resume

    (November 1566-October 10, 1630)
Born in Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom
Actor and financial manager for the Lord Chamberlain’s Men (later, the King’s Men), the acting company William Shakespeare wrote for
With fellow King's Men actor Henry Condell, assembled and edited Shakespeare’s plays in the First Folio (1623)

Why he might be annoying:

His last name is also spelled Heming, Heminges, Hemynges, Hemminge, and Hemminges.
Little was recorded about his acting.
Although there is a tradition that he was the first actor to portray Falstaff, there is no evidence for it.
Indeed, no evidence has survived of him acting in any of Shakespeare’s plays. (Although there are cast lists showing him in some of Ben Jonson’s plays.)
He was a grocer at the same time that he was an actor.
He used his position as a member of the Grocers’ Company to have several apprentice grocers appear in boys’ roles with the King’s Men.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was an investor in the Globe and Blackfriars Theatres.
In his will, Shakespeare left 26 shillings and eight pence each to him, Condell, and Richard Burbage to buy mourning rings.
The First Folio is considered the only reliable text for nearly half of Shakespeare’s plays.
