Drafted 171st overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft
Forward for the Montreal Canadiens (1994-2002), Phoenix Coyotes (2002-04), St. Louis Blues (2004) and the Philadelphia Flyers (2005-06)

Why he might be annoying:

His nickname 'Mr. October' was a rip-off of Reggie Jackson's.
Unlike Jackson, he earned the nickname as a result of his fast scoring starts in the first month of the season, then fizzling out as the season progressed.
He bounced around to three other teams following his trade from Montreal.
He was traded to St. Louis for the sole purpose of being in the playoffs. The Blues returned him back to Phoenix via waiver claim when the playoffs ended.
He is a devoted golf enthusiast.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the last Canadian Olympic hockey team that featured amateurs and semi-pro players on the roster (1994).
He scored the first hat trick in the history of the Molson Centre (since renamed the Bell Centre).
He suffered a freak neck injury which kept him sidelined for the majority of the 1999-2000 season.
Following his injury, he returned to active play and served as an advocate to various spinal cord injury research foundations.
He spent the majority of his prime years on poor Canadiens teams.
