Why they might be annoying:

    They are a two-hit wonder.
They go by different band names.
They planned to bring a dead sheep and buckets of blood to the British Music Awards (1992), but they had second thoughts. Instead, they fired automatic weapons at the audience (firings blanks instead of live ammo). They later placed the dead sheep and poured buckets of blood on the entrance of a posh Lancaster hotel where two post-Brit parties took place (1992).
They formed the K-Foundation Awards in which they offered 40,000 Pounds to the artist with the worst body of work during the 12 month span (1995). Rachel Whitehead was chosen as the recipient of the award.
The band took 1,000,000 Pounds, nailed the stacks of money onto a wooden frame, and entitled the artwork ’Nailed to the Wall’ (1995). They later burned the money on a remote island and videotape the event (August 23, 1995).
They deleted their back recording catalog.
They wore monk outfits with horns sticking out of their hoods, floppy hats, etc.

Why they might not be annoying:

They claimed that the dead sheep and buckets of blood were used as symbolism on how the music industry treats their artists.
The sheep has been associated with the KLF throughout their careers in terms of merchandising, recordings, and guest appearances with the band on stage.
They collaborated with country superstar Tammy Wynette to score a huge hit with ‘Justified and Ancient’.
The K-Foundation Awards was a humorous response to the Turner Prize, which rewards the best body of work in a 12-month period.
They have written a manual called ‘How to Have a Number One the Easy Way.'
