Why he might be annoying:

He brought an American flag out with him to every match for cheap pops.
He got the idea to bring a 2x4 (a wrestling weapon) to the ring from the 1973 movie 'Walking Tall.'
He needlessly moved to WCW in 1994.
During a storyline, he found the WCW Television belt in the trash.
His run in the WWE and WCW weren't very successful.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is known as the first person to bring a 2x4 to the ring before Mick Foley made it famous.
He was diagnosed with cancer in 1998, and took a break from wrestling until recovering.
He was open about his cancer and publicly talked about it during a WCW broadcast.
He survived cancer.
He is the first ever WWE Royal Rumble winner and the last person to hold the WCW Television title.
