Why he might be annoying:

He wears a mask with many accessories that makes him hard to see his opponents during matches.
Many thought he won the WCW Television title by a fluke, as his opponent, Prince Iaukea, was attacked by William Regal during the match.
His promos for the WWE were similar to Rey Mysterio's, so it didn't hype people up as much.

Why he might not be annoying:

During a time in his career, he held 10 titles at the same time, including the infamous IPGW Junior Heavyweight and J-Crown Championships.
He had been labeled a 'midget' by his larger opponents, but he proved them wrong by beating most of them, some even being 50 pounds heavier than him.
The Asai Moonsault, a Moonsault from the 2nd ring ropes to the outside, was named after him.
He temporarily retired from wrestling after an arm surgery went wrong and left him partially crippled.
Many consider him a legend, and he has had some classic matches with some of Japan's top athletes.
