Middleman of the Three Stooges
Why he might be annoying
Because of his prodigal ways and his wife's dislike for housekeeping, he and his family lived in hotels. Not until the late forties did he buy a home.
He was known for his tardiness. He rarely got to the set on time, or to any other engagement. Several times during his career, Moe Howard had to cover for him until he showed up.
He once convinced Moe Howard to help him finance a fast-food restaurant.
Larry's two friends, who conceived the idea, planned to sell Stoogeburgers.
After several months of so-so business the partners skipped town with everything they could get their hands on. As a result, Moe and Larry were left with the bills.
Why he might not be annoying
When he was young, he was accidentally burned on the arm with acid that his father was using to test metals. The burn required a skin graft. After the surgery, doctors recommended that he be given violin lessons as a form of therapy. It was believed that the action of drawing the bow over the strings would strengthen his damaged arm muscles.
Little did he realize that the violin would become an important tool in his career.
Larry's screen persona was as laid back as his real life one, and thus his character was never forced.
He was left handed.
Mayor Ed Koch copped his look.
