Why he might be annoying
He cried during his press conference when he became a St. Louis Cardinal.
He was accused of taking androstenedione, a testosterone booster.
After admitting to using it, andro sales increased more than 1,000 percent to more than $50 million (according to industry figures).
He avoided the questions of steroid usage in front of a congressional committee, saying he would rather talk about positive thing rather than negative things (March 2005).
He admitted to using illegal steroids (January 2010).
Why he might not be annoying
He raises money for children.
Although he is intentionally walked, so as not to be pitched to, he doesn't seem to mind.
He is ranked in People Magazine's 25 Most Intriguing People (1998).
