Why he might be annoying
He had a big nose.
His trademark saying was ‘Touchdown Seahawks!’
When he used to work as a radio DJ, the program director said that his real name was not a good name for the position.
He broadcasted the Seahawks’ loss to the Los Angeles Raiders at the 1983 AFC Championship game.
During his battle against cancer, he took several medical pills which didn’t recover him quickly.
Why he might not be annoying
He was beloved in Seattle.
An apartment for cancer-care patients (Pete Gross House) in Seattle is named in his honor.
He started his sports announcing career in the high school games.
He was the most honored broadcaster in Seahawks franchise history.
He was the first announcer to be inducted into the Seattle Seahawks’ Ring of Honor (1992).
