Why they might be annoying:

Aside from Chicago, they had the most unimaginitive album titles in rock history.
The band left the UK for a tour, and Allen, an Australian, was refused back into the country. He remained in France and formed another band, Gong.
Robert Wyatt was fired from the band.
Following Wyatt's departure, the band had a revolving door of members, with Ratledge as the only constant in the band.
    They were heavy smokers.

Why they might not be annoying:

    They were all virtuoso musicians
They were one of the major bands of the UK underground of the late 1960s.
Band members began as part of a Canterbury band called the Wilde Flowers; other former Wilde Flowers would go on to form the band Caravan.
They are considered part of the Canterbury music scene of the 1960s.
Wyatt was both a talented singer and an inventive drummer.
Their music was an inventive mix of psychedelia and jazz, with some sweetly melodic, poppy numbers as well.
Wyatt was left a paraplegic after a fall from a building in 1974. However, he continued his solo career.
Kevin Ayers had a lengthy solo career.
