Why she might be annoying
She paid more attention to her dog (team mascot), Schottzie Schott, than her players.
She was a chain smoker.
She was an alcoholic.
She made racist remarks and although she apologized (December 9, 1992), she was suspended from baseball for one year (February 3, 1993).
Not learning a lesson, her racist and anti-semitic mouth got her a permanent suspension from baseball (July 12, 1996).
She called black players, her niggers.
She said that Hitler did some real good things until he went 'Nuts.'
David Wells and other ball players said she was the cheapest person they knew, including making players pay for their socks and taxing their meal money.
Why she might not be annoying
She bought the Reds specifically to keep them in Cincinnati, calling it her Christmas present (December 21, 1984).
She sold the Reds for $67,000,000 (1999).
In a bit or irony, because of a breathing problem, she checked into Cincinnati Jewish Hospital (January, 2001).
She was a fixture at a Mardi Gras event to aid homeless children.
She enjoyed the show business end of baseball.
In an effort to change her image, she contributed millions to charity in her final years.
