Why they might be annoying
The group broke about due to speculation that they were not good song writers or decent musicians (1989).
This was based on a partial truth that the girls did employ session musicians and their hits were written by outsiders.
Why they might not be annoying
They reunited in 1999 and blamed their break up on their immaturity.
The media tried to play up a rivalry between the GoGos and the Bangles, however, the members of both groups have individually helped and collaborated with each other.
The Bangles were originally called the Bangs, since there was another group called the Bangs, they added the '-les' as a tribute to The Beatles.
