Lou Costello - (March 6, 1906-March 3,1959) - Born in Patterson, New Jersey
Joined as a comedy team when comic Lou Costello's straight man fell ill and Bud Abbott filled in (1931)
Starred in 'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein,' 'Buck Privates,' 'Abbott and Costello in the Navy,' 'Ride 'em Cowboy,' 'Hold that Ghost,' 'Africa Screams' and 'Abbott and Costello in the Foreign Legion'
U.S. honored them on a postage stamp (1991)
Why they might be annoying
They disliked each other.
The feuding got so bad they broke up in 1957.
Both members owed money to the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.).
Why they might not be annoying
They originated the famous comedy routines, 'Who's on First?' and 'Niagara Falls.'
They are featured in the Baseball Hall of Fame (although not members, 1956).
