    Recorded the singles 'Devil Or Angel' (1960), 'Rubber Ball' (1960), 'Take Good Care of My Baby' (1961), 'Run To Him' (1961), 'The Night Has A Thousand Eyes' (1962), 'Charms' (1963) and 'Come Back When You Grow Up' (1967)

Why he might be annoying:

    He got his big break filling in for Buddy Holly after Holly's fatal air crash.
    In the 70s, he tried to shed his teen idol image by recording an album of folk songs under his birth name.
    He became a staple at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater in Branson.

    Bob Dylan was (briefly) his piano player.
    He recorded six gold records.
    Readers of the British oldies magazine 'The Beat Goes On' named him best American act (1991), best live performer (1992) and favorite male singer (1993).
