The banter between Paul and Jamie was often completely ridiculous.
They fell into the shark-jumping trap of bringing a baby on board.
The much anticipated baby was named Mabel, an acronym for ‘Mothers Always Bring Extra Love.'
The final season was plagued with very special episodes.

They attempted to tackle many of the problems of a newly married couple in a lighthearted manner.
They seemed to realize the error of their ways, and rarely had episodes revolving around the baby.
They had cross over episodes with both ‘Friends' and ‘Seinfeld.'
They finally realized it was time and ended the show.
