She was named after a boat (the USS Rosalind).
She mostly played 'fast-talking dames' - over 20 by her count.
Her singing in 'Gypsy' was dubbed.
Her manager lost his house after unsuccessfully betting she'd win the Academy Award in 1947.
She smoked.
She ranked #2 in 1962 on Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dress List.

Why he might not be annoying:

Her characters were smart and sassy.
She had a deep, throaty voice.
Her friends called her 'Roz.'
Though she won all five Golden Globes she was nominated for, she never won an Oscar.
At her funeral, friend Cary Grant said: 'I'm sure she's up there organizing things and telling the angels what to do...'
