    She ran a brothel in Florida.
    She and Stephen lived beyond their means.
    To be fair, Donald Stewart refused to grant a divorce.
    She became the first female war correspondent when she covered the Greco-Turkish war.
    She wrote short stories for magazines.
    She called pessimism 'the religion of the unsuccessful.
    She raised money to provide for the illegitimate children of writer Harold Frederic.
    She died of a stroke at 45 after she helped push a car out of the sand.
